Peter Theo Curtis, the American journalist held captive by the al-Nusra Front in Syria, landed safely in the U.S. on Tuesday, just two days after being released by his captors. Curtis, 45, flew from Tel Aviv to Newark and then on to Boston. “I have been so touched and moved, beyond all words, by the people who have come up to me today,” Curtis said in a statement. He also thanked U.S. officials who worked for his release, as well as the government of Qatar.
