Someone ought to break the news softly to Carl Paladino: Federal Judge Virginia Phillips ordered the U.S. military to suspend enforcement of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell on Tuesday. Her order instructed the military “immediately to suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding, that may have been commenced under the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’” Phillips had previously ruled that DADT violated service members’ Fifth Amendment rights, but held off on issuing the injunction. The lawsuit was brought to court by the Log Cabin Republicans.
