Kate’s Queen Lessons
Queen 101.
It’s hard enough for outsiders marrying into any family firm, so pity poor Kate Middleton who is apparently undergoing intensive training for her future job of Queen by the current incumbent, her grandmother-in-law.
It had been rumored that Kate, 30, had been receiving lessons in correct Queenly bearing (waving, smiling, etc) since her husband, Prince William, left for his controversial posting to the Falkland Islands, and now it seems all those lessons are to be put into effect. It was confirmed to day that Kate will accompany the Queen for the first time without William next Thursday, when they will travel to Leicester by train to formally kick off the royal Jubilee tour of Britain.
The Duchess and the Queen will visit the local University, and attend both a Church service and a Hindu celebration of the coming of spring.
Leicester City Mayor Peter Soulsby said: “I am very proud that Leicester will be the first stop on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour.”
