Winston Moseley, a man who stalked, raped, and killed a woman named Kitty Genovese in 1964, has passed away at the age of 81 in jail. The infamous murder was committed by knife while neighbors in the area did not respond to Genovese’s cries for help. Moseley was in jail for almost 52 years and died at the maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York near the Canadian border. He was first going to be electrocuted after facing the death penalty in 1967, but later won an appeal after New York abolished most capital punishments.
