Debris from the missing small plane that went down over Lake Erie has reportedly been found. According to WOIO-TV, authorities have found a windshield and a pile of other material from the aircraft, which was carrying six people. A tracker had pinged the plane’s location after it crashed. Three adults and three children were on board when it lost contact over the lake last week. Waves approaching 15 feet made the search-and-rescue process more difficult for Coast Guard officials conducting the operation. The passenger group had attended a Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game before boarding. “This will be a slow and deliberate process that may take several hours to search even a small area,” according to a press release from the City of Cleveland.
