Lea Michele to star in Dorothy of Oz

Glee fans rejoice: Lea Michele will star as Dorothy in the 3-D musical Dorothy of Oz. The film will be an extension of the original The Wonderful Wizard of Oz narrative, picking up on the day after Dorothy’s trip to Oz, where, according to E! Online, “she must return in search of the missing Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion.” Kelsey Grammar, Dan Akroyd, Martin Short, and Jim Belushi among others are set to accompany her in the film, which will mark Michele’s first appearance on the silver screen.
