Malcolm Gladwell, New Yorker writer and author of the bestsellers Blink and The Tipping Point, has just sold a series pitch to HBO. The show centers on a missionary who becomes involved with the CIA in Cold War-era Berlin. It’s not totally new turf for Gladwell, who’s written about espionage for the New Yorker, and he’ll be working as a non-writing executive producer along with Stephen Levinson and Mark Wahlberg.
