Man Finds $9 Million Lotto Ticket

Not many folks have occasion to thank the IRS this time of year—but Irving Przyborski does. The Chicago man was doing his taxes a little early when he discovered a year-old lottery ticket in his files. Taking the ticket in, he discovered that he was the winner of a $9 million jackpot. But Przyborski was even luckier than you might think. He redeemed the ticket just nine days before its March 24 expiration. The man has decided to take his cash as a lump sum—and the IRS will surely be lining up to take its cut.
