Szuhsiung Ho, a Chinese-born nuclear engineer in the United States, has been accused of putting a team together to help a Chinese nuclear energy company build reactors. The Atomic Energy Act allows authorized persons to help develop these materials outside of the U.S. but according to an unsealed indictment, Ho and the two companies with which he worked never got the necessary authorization. He is being charged with acting as an agent of a foreign government in the U.S. without consent and has been arrested.
