Police in Beaumont, Texas, arrested a suspect Monday in connection with what appeared to be a racially charged shooting at a Jefferson County sheriff candidate’s campaign headquarters. Zena Stephens said she was standing outside her campaign headquarters with a group of people when a white male pulled up in a car and shouted “f-ck the n---ers,” 12 News reports. The man then shot into the building’s front window. There were no reported injuries, but Stephens said around 20 people were inside at the time.
