Russian tennis champ Maria Sharapova won her second French Open on Saturday with a 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4 victory against Romania's Simona Halep. Sharapova, 27, came a long way to get here: After last year's French Open, she lost in just the second round of Wimbledon, sustained a shoulder injury that sidelined her for most of the rest of the season, changed coaches twice, and fell from fourth to eighth in the rankings. Halep, 22, rose from No. 57 in the rankings to No. 4 and was playing in her first Grand Slam final.
