Senator John McCain (R-AZ) said on Sunday that he would not immediately accept the results of the Pentagon’s study on "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell"—despite the fact that he had previously indicated that he would. "Once we get this study, we need to have hearings. And we need to examine it. And we need to look at whether it's the kind of study that we wanted," he said on Meet the Press. The study will show that over 70 percent of troops believe the effect of repealing the policy will be positive, mixed, or nonexistent.
