Young Mi Kim, the employee, was not hurt, but threatened a lawsuit over the altercation, which took place in an executive conference room in June 2007. (Kim pledged confidentiality in the settlement. She eventually went back to work at eBay.) The argument was reportedly over Kim’s preparation of Whitman for a press interview.
