The University of Missouri's campus police said Wednesday morning they had arrested the person responsible for racially charged online threats against black students. According to police officials, the arrest was made off campus and the suspect did not post the threats while “on or near” campus. “I’m going to stand my ground tomorrow and shoot every black person I see,” read one of the anonymous messages on social-media app Yik Yak. “We’re waiting for you at the parking lots,” read another. “We will kill you.”
