Georgia state authorities decided Sunday to erect a monument for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the famous Confederate memorial at Stone Mountain. While some locals have expressed discontent at the decision, it comes as Southern states have begun to rethink the canonization of Confederate artifacts in American history.
