A North Korea shipping company circumvented United Nations sanctions by renaming ships and transferring ownership to other companies, a UN report revealed Wednesday. An arms embargo on North Korea was extended to the company Ocean Maritime Management in July when it was caught importing missile systems and launchers from Cuba. Despite the sanctions, OMM continued operations in at least 10 countries and 13 of 14 ships have been renamed and transferred to different ownership, according to a report obtained by the AFP. The report also found that Pyongyang continues to attempt to purchase items related to its nuclear program and missile launches.
