The memorial for a teen who was brutally murdered near a mosque on Sunday was set on fire, fire officials say. D.C. firefighters said they put out the flames about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning and that the blaze surrounded the remains of the Dupont Circle memorial for 17-year-old Nabra Hassanen, who was attacked with a baseball bat, allegedly sexually assaulted, and then killed over the weekend. Police said they arrested 24-year-old Jonathan Soloman, of South Carolina, in connection with the fire. Hassanen’s suspected killer, 22-year-old Darwin Martinez Torres, was arrested earlier this week.
