The Golden State Warriors eked out a 108-100 overtime win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the opening game of the NBA Finals on Thursday. The Warriors’ Stephen Curry had 26 points and eight assists, shutting down LeBron James and the Cavs in overtime. “It was just a classic five minutes that we needed to get that win,” Curry said. James scored 44 points, shot 18 of 38 from the field, had eight rebounds and six assists in 46 minutes, but it wasn’t enough. Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving also limped off the court and did not return.
