Awards show favorite Neil Patrick Harris will be the next entertainer to take on the nearly impossible task of hosting the Academy Awards come Feb. 22. Harris, who has performed on the broadcast, will be hosting for the first time. He hosted the Emmy Awards show in 2013 and 2009, and the Tony Awards four times. Last year’s ceremony, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, was the most watched in 14 years, pulling in an average audience of 45.4 million viewers.
