The results from the Florida primary are in. Incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat, easily won his race on Tuesday, taking roughly 80 percent of the vote. In November, he’ll face off against Republican challenger Connie Mack IV, who faced little opposition from his own party. Both were heavily favored to win their races, but Mack had the added advantage of his famous last name. His father was a U.S. senator from Florida, and his great-grandfather was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
