Could we have a replacement for Pluto? Two scientists at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette say they believe they’ve found a ninth planet in our solar system—four times larger than Jupiter, but somehow still hidden. So far it’s gone undetected because it’s inside the Oort Cloud, the band of asteroids on the border of our home system. It also escaped detection because it’s so far away: Its orbit is 15,000 times further from the Sun than Earth’s, and 375 times further than Pluto’s.
