News International “deliberately” tried to “thwart” a 2005-2006 probe into phone hacking, according to a report from Parliament. The obstruction took place while Andy Coulson edited the paper. Coulson went on to be director of communications for Prime Minister David Cameron, who cut short a trip to Africa to appear before Parliament Wednesday. He will be questioned on, among other things, the revelation Tuesday that Coulson received help during Cameron’s election campaign from Neil Wallis, a former News of the World editor who has been arrested.
