Adam Lambert defended his controversial AMA performance on CBS’s Early Show Wednesday morning, saying he’s “not a babysitter. I’m a performer.” He said the controversial moves—simulated oral sex and kissing a man—were impromptu, though he did admit “I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention.” He went on to say that “it didn't cross my mind, children. It was almost 11:00. It was a nighttime show. I was there in the audience full of mostly adults.” He also noted, "If it had been a female pop performer ... I don't think there'd be nearly as much of an outrage at all." (CBS News)

Fool.

This guy can sing - and his performance did what it was supposed to do - create controversy. So, as G W Bush said, "fool me once, shame on - [pauses] - shame on you. Fool me - You can't get fooled again."

I really liked Adam when he was on American Idol, especially when he SANG a song instead of the shrieking high rock scream voice. I was really underwhelmed by the performance on AMA. He chose a song that would be shocking, and performed in a vocally sloppy way with lots of shrieking, and lots of sexually explicit gesturing. I think that the guy is believing his own press. He is not yet an established artist and should be concentrating on selling records and entertaining, not making network suits afraid of him for what he might do on national TV. I do agree with those who talk about the double standard about girlsex vs guysex, but Adam should have steered clear of the whole issue until he becomes as big as Madonna or Britney.

You ask someone fearless to close the AMA's, a show known for having musicians do outrageous things, it's understandable that he chose a song that is his most over-the-top.. Adam sat watching the thus far outrageous show and didn't want to disappoint and be boring.
He didn't try to offend anybody. It was the AMA's! Over-the-top stuff has become a tradition there and the guy was asked to close and top it off. Why not give the guy a break for that reason alone?
Adam's a great talent and a really nice guy. Did all of you hear in his interview in real life he's never tried any kind of bondage and isn't interested in it? He's vanilla? It was just an act, He let loose for the normally outrageous AMA's.
Adam's here for the long haul. He's insanely talented and his album's getting mostly great reviews from those who listen to it! We'll be seeing lots of him in the weeks, months, and years to come.
I'm not worried about Adam. He's going to do great!!
Love the guy!
(By the way, I'm straight, and that kiss was the hottest part of the AMA's this year.)
Thank you.
