Your kids will want to take a swing at these top mini-golf courses:
Illinois: Par-King Skill Golf, Lincolnshire (par-king.com; $6). Your ball takes a spin on a roulette wheel and rides an elevator.
Massachusetts: Skull Island Adventure Golf, South Yarmouth (bassriversports world.com; $7.50). It has 20 waterfalls, 25 fountains and a Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.
South Carolina: Mayday Golf, Myrtle Beach (mayday golf.com; $7.50). The story: you've crashed on an island, and, naturally, play 18 holes.
Texas: Peter Pan Mini Golf, Austin (512-472-1033; $5). Opened in 1948, the hipster hangout doesn't stick to the Neverland theme--with funky statues of giant rabbits, Humpty Dumpty and a 20-foot T. rex.
Virginia: Woody's Perils of the Lost Jungle, Herndon (woodysgolf.com; $8.25). Nothing says adventure like sinking putts near snakes, shrunken heads and spiders.
