Written by Chazz Palminteri and based on his own life experiences, 1993’s A Bronx Tale depicts a young man’s difficult choice between the glamorous path of a mob affiliate or the honest-but-mundane life of a working Joe. Robert De Niro directed the film and plays a bus driver who is trying to raise a law-abiding son in a Mafia-dominated Bronx neighborhood.
