As wildfires blaze through southern and eastern San Diego County, fueled by gusting Santa Ana winds, hundreds of thousands of residents are evacuating the area. They’re living through a scene eerily reminiscent of the 2003 fires, which killed 24 people and scorched thousands of acres in the same area.
