Hillary Takes the Stage
Tuesday was Hillary Clinton’s day at the Democratic National Convention, with supporters marching through Denver and the former presidential candidate delivering the last address of the day in the Pepsi Center. In her speech, Clinton attacked John McCain and urged her supporters to put aside hurt feelings and throw their support behind the Democratic nominee. ‘Barack Obama is my candidate,’ she said. ‘No way, no how, no McCain. … Whether you voted for me or voted for Barack, the time is now to unite as a single party with a single purpose. We are on the same team, and none of us can sit on the sidelines. This is a fight for the future. And it’s a fight we must win.’
