Know Your Power Couples
Cass Sunstein vs. Samantha Power: Cass
He's a prolific legal scholar. She's a war correspondent turned public-policy professor. The yenta? Barack Obama. The two academic powerhouses met last year while serving as advisers on Barack Obama's campaign--she for foreign policy and he for domestic policy--and wed in Ireland this summer. Now, he's said to be in the running for an eventual Supreme Court posting, while she, rehabilitated from an embarrassing anti-Hillary campaign slip-up, is serving on the State Department's transition team. Both are said to be up for some sort of administration posts, but if we're forced to choose between them, our money is on Cass. He has experience at both the Supreme Court and Department of Justice. Plus, he didn't call the incoming secretary of state a monster. At least publicly, that is.
