“The One.” The description of Barack Obama was uttered admiringly by faithful supporters and mockingly by detractors. But even opponents cannot deny Obama’s ability to inspire and motivate. Call it charisma, an aura, a gift--whatever Obama has, other successful leaders have also had it, giving them the ability to galvanize a nation or movement in ways that changed the world. Only history will tell if Obama ultimately is successful and retains his sheen.
