Talk about pushy filmmakers--for some famous dictators, celluloid held a special pull. They ordered the creation of propaganda films, made themselves subjects of biopics, and even served as patrons for great works of historical drama. Here are a few despots who've dabbled in the movies, including Benito Mussolini, shown at right looking through a movie camera in 1940.
