Most Americans believe innovation is important to our economy, but as the NEWSWEEK-Intel Global Innovation Survey shows, many worry the United States is falling behind competitors. These charts, from a survey taken in September and October of this year, show the attitudes of U.S. adults about lagging inventiveness and how to fix it, as well as how their counterparts in China, Germany and the United Kingdom see the matter.
In the NEWSWEEK-Intel Global Innovation Survey, 4,800 adults across the U.S., China, Germany, and the U.K. responded to an online questionnaire from Sept. 28 to Oct. 13. Margin of error is ± 3.10% for the sample in each country.
