Undocumented laborers in the United States face many challenges to good health and limitations to proper care. Migrant workers, often from Latin America, may suffer from exposure to pesticide, injuries from farming equipment, and heat and sun exposure--issues amplified by poor nutrition and almost nonexistent primary care. Some states and counties seek to mitigate this by providing roaming clinics that provide basic services for no or low cost.
Here, children of Mexican immigrants wait for a free checkup at a Salud Family Health Centers mobile clinic outside the Mexican Consulate in Denver.
