In September 2009, photojournalist Ilkka Uimonen took the train from Beijing and headed north. Accompanied by a U.N. vehicle and his ever-present minders, he then spent nearly a week inside North Korea, photographing the city of Pyongyang, the border areas, and the countryside. Here are his images.
