Ten months after a devastating earthquake struck Haiti, the country is still struggling to recover. Piles of rubble clog the landscape and make rebuilding attempts a herculean task. The vast amount of international aid promised has been slow to arrive and, once it does comes, difficult to distribute. That has left Haitians with no more than makeshift shelters, shattered infrastructure, and limited food supplies. Several cases of cholera are the latest blow, although the widespread and lethal epidemic many feared has so far not materialized. Photographer Antonio Bolfo traveled through Haiti for NEWSWEEK, capturing the challenging conditions and ongoing struggles faced by the population.
