The Citroen DS may be the most gorgeous car ever. Designed by the Italian sculptor Flaminio Bertoni, the model launched in 1955, to huge acclaim, then underwent 20 more years of perpetual refinement. It is as famous for its groundbreaking pneumatic suspension if a tire blew out— it could still ride on its other three wheels—as for a ripped body that makes other cars jealous. Though it is well known to connoisseurs, Francophiles and design aficionados, it's barely on the radar of your average American car buff. Could it still be ahead of its time, 30 years after the last one was made?
