Next Thursday, families across America will gather around the television, stuffed to the brim with turkey, stuffing and pie, and watch ABC’s yearly Thanksgiving special. This year, they’ll be treated to an inside look at the private life of one of music’s most outlandish stars: Lady Gaga. Gaga will sing in front of a small audience of friends and family, get “Intimate” with Katie Couric and cook with Chicago chef Art Smith, formerly of Oprah’s personal kitchen. In this image, exclusive to Newsweek, a properly put together Gaga works alongside Smith to create fried turkey and pecorino-infused waffles with Italian herbs and crispy pepperoni—an inventive take on one of the singer’s old family recipes.
