Technology is one of the greenest industries, with corporations competing aginst one another to “green” their products and operations.
To compile the list of the greenest tech companies in America, we sifted through Newsweek’s 2012 Green Rankings—which compares the environmental footprint, management (policies, initiatives, controversies), and transparency of the biggest companies in the U.S.—to find the top-performing technology firms. As in previous years, we partnered with two leading environmental research organizations, Trucost and Sustainalytics to conduct this study, and the methodology was developed in consultation with an advisory panel of corporate sustainability experts.
