NFL football is back with a bang.
The first game of the National Football League season pits the reigning Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos against last year’s near-perfect Carolina Panthers squad in a rematch of Super Bowl 50.
Both the Broncos and Carolina Panthers have lost key players from last season. The Broncos’ former quarterback and future hall-of-famer Peyton Manning retired after the Super Bowl, while Panthers star cornerback Josh Norman was signed by Washington in the off-season.
The Broncos are expected to start second-year QB Trevor Siemian against a strong Panthers defense led by linebacker Luke Kuechly. Reigning NFL MVP Cam Newton will have to deal with a dominant Broncos defensive front, led by Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware.
The NFL kickoff game begins at 8:30 p.m. ET. For those with a television, the game can be watched on the NBC broadcast network. Those without a television can catch a live-stream on NBC Live, which requires a log-in.
You can also stream the game via PlayStation Vue, Sling TV or DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket streaming video service.
