It looks like Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is going to get repealed, though opponents were determined to fight it till the end. Hours before Obama was scheduled to sign the repeal, Republican Senators tried to attach an amendment to a large defense authorization bill that would have required four military service chiefs to approve the repeal, one of whom is a known proponent of DADT. The amendment failed, and Obama is slated to sign the repeal at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, just before leaving for vacation.
