The University of Cincinnati will pay $4,850,000 to the family of Samuel DuBose, a 43-year-old African-American man killed by campus police during a traffic stop last July. The agreement with the family, which also includes $500,000 in free education, settles the civil suit brought against the university. The officer involved in the fatal shooting, Ray Tensing, has been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges in the criminal case.
