The Olive Garden in New York’s Times Square has received social-media attention after the New York Post reported that the restaurant will charge $400 per person on New Year’s Eve. The event includes a DJ, open bar, and buffet meal, but (notably) no breadsticks. Manager Michael Garver also told the Post that the view of the ball drop is “limited.” Other Times Square chain restaurants, including Ruby Tuesday, are charging as much as $1,699 for the night’s meal—making Olive Garden’s exorbitant rate seem cheap in comparison.
