Prosecutors in Los Angeles County are seeing 24 years to life for pit bull owner Alex Donald Jackson because his dogs mauled a woman to death. The woman, Pamela Devitt, was out for a morning walk when four of his dogs jumped a fence and attacked her. The dogs were used by Jackson to guard his marijuana-growing operation, and police argue he knew they were dangerous.
