San Diego police say they’ve arrested a man suspected of four attacks on homeless men that have spurred fears of a serial killer. The suspect has been identified as Anthony Alexander Padgett, 36. There is no word on the motive at this time. Padgett is accused of stabbing and setting on fire four homeless men, leaving two dead and two critically injured. The attacks were carried out while the victims were sleeping, police said. Padgett has been booked as the one and only suspect in the attacks. Earlier, police had warned that the killings might signify a serial killer targeting the homeless.
