Police testified Thursday that a member of Beta Theta Pi had deleted footage from a camera in the fraternity's Penn State house two days after Tim Piazza, 19, died, Penn Live reported. All footage from the camera, which had previously been described as not-functioning, was deleted before police could collect it. State College Police Detective David Scicchitano said the footage was deleted by one of the 18 fraternity members already facing charges for Piazza's death. It is unclear whether the camera could have captured Piazza's fall down the basement stairs, but it possibly recorded video of fraternity members drinking with a banned sorority and an alcohol-chugging obstacle course for pledges.
