Public Policy Polling embarked on the noble task this week of figuring out how many Americans believe in conspiracy theories—and the answer is more than you think. PPP's nationwide poll this week asked about 20 famous conspiracy theories, including the Roswell UFO crash (27 percent of Romney voters believe the U.S. government covered up the crash, as opposed to 16 percent of Obama voters), global warming (37 percent of voters believe it's a hoax), and the JFK assassination (51 percent of voters say a larger conspiracy was at work). Oh, and 13 percent of voters believe that Obama is the Antichrist, including 22 percent of Romney voters.
