Victoria Beckham reportedly failed to fill them on Friday, when she served as a guest judge for American Idol, the New York Daily News reports. Despite cracking a rare smile, the 35-year-old former Spice Girl was evidently bland during auditions—a source said, adding, "She tried too hard to be 'nice,' but came off as icy and wooden." Some contestants upset over long-time judge Abdul's sudden departure also voiced their opinions on camera.
