Thirteen people suspected of being in a suicide cult were found alive and well in Southern California nearly a day after police feared they had killed themselves. However, their leader has been hospitalized for psychological evaluation. The group of El Salvadoran immigrants, all members of a break-off religious sect, disappeared this weekend, leaving behind letters that said they were awaiting the Rapture. They were found praying at a Los Angeles County park today. "Essentially, the letters say they are all going to heaven to meet Jesus and their deceased relatives," a police spokesman said. "Some of the letters were saying goodbye." The group is led by Reyna Marisol Chicas, who allegedly “brainwashed” her followers.
