Rick Santorum's latest campaign ad bills him as the candidate with "the best chance to beat Obama." Perhaps he's right. A new survey from Public Policy Polling shows Santorum with a better chance against Obama than Romney, though the president is still leading both. Santorum, the ad says, is "a full-spectrum conservative ... Rock solid on values issues; a favorite of the Tea Party for fighting corruption and taxpayer abuse; more foreign-policy credentials than any other candidate." Oh, and he "served eight years on Armed Services." Talking Points Memo points out for those not hip to Santorum's history: Though this makes it seem as if he's a veteran, he is not. He served on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
