Now that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s (now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) fairy-tale royal wedding is in the history books, with an estimated one million well-wishers gathering outside London’s Westminster Abbey for the momentous occasion, the couple departed Buckingham Palace by helicopter on Saturday to weekend at an undisclosed location in the U.K. However, their honeymoon will be postponed, as Prince William will return to his job as an RAF search-and-rescue pilot next week, according to reports. With 300 friends and family in attendance, the royal couple’s reception at Buckingham Palace Friday night is believed to have featured Prince Harry’s best man speech and Michael Middleton’s father-of-the-bride address. Meanwhile, there was a party at the Goring Hotel Friday night, where the Middleton’s family and friends were staying. “We had a party at the hotel last night that went on well into the evening, so we’re feeling a little jaded this morning,” Middleton family friend Tony Ainsworth told BBC News.
