Many activists feel that this is the best way to bring about change in the country. Vera Kichanova, a 20-year-old opposition protestor who won a council seat, said, “"Real politics isn't just fighting in the street. It is helping people in their daily lives. This work might be tedious, but it is more important than standing back and criticizing. Someone needs to get involved."
